About This Car
Jaguar E-Type Chassis number 295, equipped with the iconic 3.8L engine.Originally, this car was delivered to the USA after completion on the 17th of August 1961, and distributed by well known Jaguars Cars in New York, USA. The original colour as seen here is Carmen Red with black leather interior.
Under the Hood
The E-Type powered by a robust 3.8 liter inline six engine delivered 265 horsepower, it was capable of reaching speeds of up to 150 mph earning its reputation as the fastest production car of its time in the early 60's. The engine on this E-type is in immaculate condition and ready to be enjoyed.Design
The Series 1 E-Type is particularly valued for its design elements, like the glass covered headlights and small front opening, which were later changed in later series. The outside bonnet lock was changed to an alternative bonnet latch mechanism in later versions.
Condition
On 14th October 2003 this E-Type was put through restoration which was completed in April 2004. Restoration costs totalled $64,000 and all related invoices are available. The vehicle includes a V5C document, German registration papers, TUV sheets, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, and related invoices.
