Performance
The 1927 Bentley 4.5 Litre is powered by Bentleys legendary 4,398 cc inline four engine featuring a cast iron block, aluminum crankcase, and a single overhead camshaft operating four valves per cylinder. The engine uses twin sloper carburetors and produces around 130 bhp. The engine was changed in period as logged in the cars registration book Engine number FB 3313.Known for its reliability these engines where used for racing and intercontinental travel, even today.
History
During the war this Bentley was used as an ambulance, after the war the current Touring body was fitted. Having been cherished since the early 1970s, this Bentley 4.5 Litre has remained with the same family for more than 50 years. Throughout that time, it has been carefully enjoyed, maintained, and preserved, with a remarkable collection of history records, invoices, and maintenance bills documenting its journey.
